Employment Law Attorney
Our client is an established regional law firm with offices in Grandview and Dublin, Ohio.  This law firm seeks an Employment Law Attorney with at least five years of experience in employment and general business law. The successful candidate is a licensed Ohio attorney who is motivated, detail-oriented, and interested in long-term partnership potential within a collaborative and professional work environment.

What You Will Do | Role Responsibilities
“Essential functions” are primarily job duties that employees must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation made by the employer.

  • Advise clients on employment law issues including wage and hour compliance, employment discrimination claims, employee handbooks, and general workplace policies

  • Represent clients in employment-related claims, including administrative actions and litigation involving workers’ compensation, unemployment compensation, and employee grievances

  • Draft, review, and negotiate employment agreements, severance packages, and settlement agreements

  • Work closely with businesses to mitigate legal risk and promote proactive HR compliance

  • Participate in business development through relationship-building with clients and referral sources

  • Contribute regularly to the firm’s marketing efforts by writing articles, presenting at seminars, and participating in networking events

  • Collaborate with attorneys in the Business Law Practice Group on overlapping matters

  • Serve on at least one firm committee or task force to support firm-wide initiatives
About You | Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in employment law required

  • General business law experience strongly preferred

  • Proven experience handling employment discrimination claims, wage and hour issues, workers’ compensation, and unemployment claims with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and referral sources independently

  • Actively involved in local bar associations and legal community engagement

  • Strong oral and written communication skills; public speaking experience is a plus

  • Organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities

  • A collaborative team player with interest in long-term firm growth and leadership
