Territory Sales Representative – Connecticut (Automotive Aftermarket)

Reports To: Director of Sales
Job Summary:
We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Territory Sales Representative to manage and grow sales within the Connecticut market. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the automotive aftermarket industry, with a strong understanding of the needs of repair shops, installers, and paint & body shops. This role is responsible for building strong customer relationships, promoting our products and services, and achieving sales targets through proactive territory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers in the territory, including auto repair shops, installers, and collision/painters.

  • Promote and sell a full line of automotive aftermarket products, including parts, tools, supplies, and coatings.

  • Conduct regular in-person visits, product demos, and training sessions with customers.

  • Identify growth opportunities, generate new leads, and convert prospects into long-term clients.

  • Provide technical support and product recommendations based on customer needs.

  • Collaborate with internal teams including customer service, logistics, and product management to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies within the territory.

  • Achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales targets and performance KPIs.

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and forecasts using CRM tools.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of outside sales experience in the automotive aftermarket industry.

  • Strong knowledge of auto parts, collision repair products, or related tools and supplies.

  • Familiarity with customer base in Connecticut is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently.

  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the territory regularly.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience selling to body shops, paint distributors, or mechanical repair shops.

  • Background in collision repair, paint refinishing, or automotive service is a plus.

  • Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office.
