Job Description
As an Audit Senior in a public accounting firm, you will lead client audit engagements from planning through completion. You will be responsible for supervising and reviewing work performed by junior staff, ensuring compliance with GAAP, GAAS, and firm standards, and maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, execution, and completion of audit engagements for clients across various industries.

Supervise, train, and mentor audit associates and interns.

Review workpapers and financial statements prepared by staff for accuracy and compliance.

Identify and resolve accounting, auditing, and internal control issues.

Communicate audit findings and recommendations to clients and firm leadership.

Prepare and review audit documentation in accordance with firm and professional standards.

Manage multiple engagements and priorities simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and responsiveness.

Stay current with industry developments, accounting standards, and firm policies.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or related field.

CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification.

2–5 years of recent experience in public accounting, with a focus on audit.

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and internal controls.

Proficiency with audit software (e.g., CaseWare, CCH Engagement) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
Preferred Skills:
-
Experience with clients in industries such as real estate, nonprofit, manufacturing, or financial services.

Familiarity with data analytics tools or audit automation platforms.
