Field Service Engineer

Our Company is a leading high tech OEM manufacturer to equipment sold Globally.  They have a global manufacturing footprint with design, R&D, service, and sales organizations spread across the US, Europe and Asia. Soleras is certified in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 18001.

How can you make the difference
  • You are responsible for the installation of our machines and you make the necessary practical preparations. You lead the on-site installation.
  • You are responsible for final technical inspection before shipment. You check if everything is assembled according to plan. You check if everything is present according to the quotation and you are responsible for the final check of the functionality of the goods.
  • You are responsible for maintenance and service interventions of machines at the customers' premises. In case of complaints or problems, you are the one who travels to the customer to solve the problem.
  • You are responsible for reporting, administrative handling of the service tasks and feedback to the organization.
  • You are responsible for the commercial side (you give presentations/trainings both internally and externally and you give presentations of a project/product to customers).

Preferred qualifications
  • You have a bachelor degree in Engineer, Mechatronics, or Electromechanics. Experience is an advantage but not a must.
  • You have a strong technical understanding and very good knowledge of electromechanics.
  • You are eager to learn and driven to constantly update your knowledge.
  • You know how to set priorities and you can work autonomously, without losing team spirit.
  • You have a hands-on personality with a sense of initiative and you have a commercial/customer-oriented 
    attitude.
  • You strive to continuously improve the quality of the delivered work.
  • Ability to travel for weeks and occasionally months straight in North America to include Canada and Mexico
  • Passport required
  • Willing to train for several weeks when starting in Belgium
  • Excellent communication skills with customers as well as reporting project updates to corporate
  • Multilingual (Spanish, French Canadian etc.)
