Fairfield County based Hedge Fund is seeking a mid-level IT analyst to join the firm’s tech-support help desk team in their London office. This role delivers operational support for firmwide end user applications and workstation hardware support across the firm, primarily focusing on the London office while also assisting with remote requests. 

Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on technical support for end-user applications, workstation hardware, and peripherals, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of new workstations and software applications
  • Support for market data and trade execution platforms
  • Support remote employees by diagnosing and resolving VPN connectivity and access issues
  • Responsible for daily operating procedures including morning status reporting, data center checks, trouble ticket creation and closure
  • Participate in IT projects, such as system migrations, upgrades, and office relocations

Requirements
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in workstation technical support
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Financial Services industry experience is desired
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with end users and quickly remediate issues
  • Experience with all Microsoft desktop software particularly Microsoft Windows 11 and Office 365
  • Workstation hardware troubleshooting and assembly
  • Familiarity with market data applications from vendors such as Bloomberg and Refinitiv is desired
